6. Trastornos del Espectro Autista

El logopeda es el profesional sanitario competente para el cribado, la evaluación, el diagnóstico y la intervención en las dificultades de comunicación, interacción y alimentación relacionadas con el autismo, y debe contar con una formación actualizada, especializada y basada en la evidencia.

El CLC impulsa la investigación sobre la prevalencia, el cribado, la evaluación funcional, la calidad de vida y la intervención logopédica en el autismo, promueve el desarrollo de instrumentos adaptados lingüística y culturalmente.

El CLC defiende un abordaje interdisciplinario, centrado en la persona y su familia, que reconozca el valor de la neurodiversidad. Insta a evitar el uso de prácticas carentes de evidencia científica o alejadas de los estándares actuales de calidad asistencial.
